Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Development time starts at $175 per hour.

We prefer to put together a project proposal and statement of work that outlines deliverables and expected development time. Simple extensions to existing tables/pages can be made in a few hours while creating custom applications and integrations takes weeks. We like to keep our projects focused and within scope, so typically the costs are between $500 to $10,000.

We also offer guided testing and post-go-live support at an hourly rate (usually cheaper than developer time). However, our objective is to release bug-free code and transfer ownership of the solution to the client so that we can move onto solving the next problem.

CentralFlow is a small team of highly technical, highly experienced professionals. We have three techno-functional consultants with 55+ total years of experience in manufacturing and ERP development.

You also have access to our vast network of Microsoft partners, ISVs, and business connections (whatever it takes to get the job done). We develop in AL code, Power BI DAX, Power Query M, Power Automate Fx, Python, T-SQL, and Excel.

We pride ourselves on being excellent communicators and possess a deep understanding of manufacturing, finance, and sales/marketing. We utilize active listening during initial consultations to assess the needs of the business and succinctly describe how we would address these needs in a proposal document (citing previous experience and required tools). Then we begin development with routine check-ins.

We prefer the flexibility of iterative development with user feedback as opposed to trying to build the entire module upfront only using internal testing (which is typical of larger consulting firms). We understand that requirements evolve, and users may desire a different experience after testing the original concept. Allowing this flexibility leads to higher adoption rates and a lower chance of returning to the same problem. See our full list of services for details.

Yes, we are a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider indirect reseller with Velosio as our direct reseller partner. If you are unhappy with your current Microsoft partner’s level of support, we can help you evaluate your licensing needs, administer your M365 portal, and provide outstanding customer service. This option goes hand-in-hand with building solutions because we will understand how your business works and how your IT systems are structured.

If you contract with us, we will make ourselves available to you.

For projects, our Statement of Work will specify a timeline with scheduled check-ins that will ensure projects stay on schedule. This document will also have our email and phone contact information for incidental questions and issues. You are welcome to contact us at any time, and we will normally reply within 1 or 2 hours.

For a support or Microsoft licensing contract, we are bound by Microsoft’s Master Services Agreement to respond to any service issues within 24 hours, but we will normally respond within 1 or 2 hours for US time zones. Use the website contact form or send us an email at any time.

Unlike the megalithic consulting firms, we believe that you have the right to understand the code that is published to your production environment.

Because we are creating tailored solutions instead of reselling a proprietary, closed-source application, we feel very comfortable sharing our approaches with your technical employees. We want you to feel empowered at the end of a project cycle so that you can maintain the solution and even create your own in the future.

Transferring ownership usually means sending project files and source code to a repository of your choice. We can close-source the extensions in your production environment for security or to protect the intellectual property, but your technical stakeholders will still have access to the source.
